Last October, LA held it’s first CicLAvia, closing off 7.5 miles of streets to car traffic, and turning it into a temporary public space for bicyclists and pedestrians. The restaurant El Chavo is a long-time Silver Lake/Los Feliz institution, serving indifferent Mexican food of the “soup or salad?” variety to a couple generations of residents.
