In case you missed it, last Friday Los Angeles stopped to watch the harrowing rescue of a hopeless German Shepherd wading through the L.A. river.
Helicopter cameras circled as several emergency workers attempted a rescue. It got ever-more suspenseful when a firefighter walked up, tussled and shook the furious animal to be airlifted to safety.
